Electrical discharge machining of mechanical parts is a common processing method, also known as "electrical discharge machining" or "electrical discharge forming machining". This machining method mainly uses the discharge phenomenon to remove the material on the surface of the workpiece to achieve the purpose of precision machining.

In this process, the electrode and the workpiece are soaked in a certain medium to form an electrolyte. Then, a certain voltage is applied to produce a high-frequency pulse spark on the electrode, and there will be a discharge between the electrode and the workpiece, resulting in a layer of material being stripped off the surface of the workpiece.
